Bayer Leverkusen will attempt to extend their good form at home against Wolfsburg in the 8th round of the German Bundesliga. Leverkusen are still undefeated at their own ground and it is unlikely that will change at today’s game. Despite being next toeach other in the standings, Leverkusen are the favorites in this game which is also a tradition in their head-to-head games as Leverkusen has lost only once in the last 18 matches against Wolfsburg that were played on Leverkusen’s own turf. The odds at the bookies also confirm this – @1.57 for Leverkusen and @5.75 for the Wolves. Heiko Herrlich is still struggling with fixing Leverkusen’s lineup problems, but his attempts are certainly bringing positive results. The team is in the lower half of the Bundesliga’s table but only 4 points is the gap between them and the 7th position. Until the last round, Leverkusen had only loses in their away games. In last round did Leverkusen clinch a point visiting Schalke.
Wolfsburg, on the other hand, have only won once since the start of the season but demonstrated quality in the last three games by drawing with all three including a draw as
visitors at Bayern Munich. Martin Schmidt will be looking to solidify his defence with the absence of John Anthony Brooks and Sebastian Jung. In attack, Wolfsburg will be missing Paul-Georges Ntep. Mario Gomes looks fit to start against Leverkusen while Ntep’s will be replaced with Belgian national Divock Origi. Didavi and Blaszcykowski look in incredible form and will certainly start in today’s game.
In the last ten head-to-head games, nine games saw both of the teams score.
our tip: both teams to score @1.700
won: 2-2 full time
