ETAR – LEVSKI
FIRST LEAGUE, BULGARIA
START: 15 oct 2017, 15:30 GMT+0
Possible starting lineup:
Etar: Ivanov, Minev, Skerlev, Pehlivanov, Sarmov, Apostolov, Aleksandrov, Vulchanov, Atanasov, Badara and Stoyanov;
Levski: Mitrev, Cvetkovic, Yablonski, Eyjolfsson, Goranov, Panayotov, Gomez, Vutov, Obertan, Prochazka and Bus.
Victory for Levski is the only possible alternative for the Blues in this away game. They have not lost in the last three games in the league but are still 9 points behind the league’s leader – Ludogoretz – and 5 points behind the team on second place – CSKA. They have won two of their last five rounds – against Cherno More and Septemvri while losing to Botev Plovdiv and drawing with Ludogoretz and Beroe.
In general, the Blues have been playing well in the last two months after manager Delio Rossi took over the team. They’ve drastically increased their capabilities in defense making it one of the best defences in the league at this moment.
Against Etar, Delio Rossi will most likely not be making any major changes with Sergiu Bus possibly taking over Junior Mapuku’s striker position today.
The team of Etar, on the other hand, were able to stop the CSKA’s winnign streak in the last round and will go head-to-head with Levski with more confidence than usual. Etar will attempt to repeat their last round’s success against Levski, as well. Returning from injuries are center back Ventsi Vasilev and the goal scorer of the team Ivan Petkov.
Nonetheless, Levski’s class is by far greater than Etar’s and we believe that will be demonstrated in this game.
VVV-VENLO – PSV EINDHOVEN
START: 15 oct 2017, 13:30 GMT+0
VVV-Venlo has been a pleasant surprise for the fans of the Dutch Eredivisie. The team has taken up the 7th position.
In the first seven rounds of the league, only Ajax were able to defeat Venlo with a victory of 2:0. In the rest of the six matches, three ended in a draw and the other three ended in a victory for Venlo. Before the pause in the league, Venlo swiftly defeated Zwolle with a 2:0 result. Clint Leemans and Ralf Seuntjens being the two scorers in the game.
After being eliminated early in the European tournaments, PSV was able to completely focus in their domestic tournaments. The shift of focus has been quite productive. In the domestic cup they’ve easily dealt with the team of SDC Putten with a 4:0 result, while in the Eredivisie they are leading with 3 points ahead of the runner-up Feyenoord.
Moreover, it is essential to highlight Phillip Cocu’s attacking line which has scored 21 goals in only 7 games, averaging to exactly three goals a game. PSV’s top goalscorer is Hirving Lozano who was bought during the summer transfer window from Mexican team Pachuca.
In the last ten games, PSV has won seven and drawn three. The class of the Eindhoven team and their outstanding form will bring victory to their side.
