Besiktas are currently the leader in the group while Monaco were able to win only a point in their last two games putting them last in their group. Today, Leonard Jardim will attempt to bring home Monaco’s first victory in this group stage of the CL.
The French team have been in a serious crisis and in a terrible shape lately. Monaco have lost their last three consecutive games, with their latest loss being against Lyon (3-2). Only two wins were they able to clinch in their last seven games in all tournaments.
On the other hand, Besiktas have been playing well in the CL. They’ve won their two games in the group stage so far topping group G with six points. They’ve demonstrated no problems in their visits away from home and will make it very hard for Monaco.
The French team has 4 wins in 8 games played against Turkish teams, while Besiktas have won three out of 8 games played against French teams but in their last four visits to France, they’ve not won a single point.
Only a victory will keep Monaco in the game while Besiktas could afford a draw. Both teams would play their attacking style and we expect Monaco to take the lead, after that the Turks to equalize!
